"In collaboration with Donnie Russell (who maintains the windows port) we've released a new version of classic Rogue, the original "rogue" in roguelike. It has been updated using Ultimate Roguelike Tileset style graphics (also includes ascii) and sound effects. Hope you enjoy it!" - Oryx

Classic Rogue is an updated version of Rogue with modern elements such as a graphical tileset, mouse-based control and sound effects. This game was released by Oryx Design Lab.

Rogue (also known as Rogue: Exploring the Dungeons of Doom) is a dungeon crawling video game by Michael Toy and Glenn Wichman and later contributions by Ken Arnold. Rogue was originally developed around 1980 for Unix-based mainframe systems as a freely-distributed executable, and later included in the official Berkeley Software Distribution 4.2 operating system (4.2BSD). Windows port by Donnie Russell.

I've always wanted to play the original Rogue, and this is a great way to experience it.  It's so simple and so addictive, and seeing the influence that an almost 40-year-old game still has today is a great slice of history, too.

theres a bug where if u attack an enemy the game freezes  and i just cant figure out why

(im running a windows 10)

Not sure if your issue has been resolved, but I am not having any game freezes when attacking enemies on Windows 10. Hopefully by now you can play it! :D
